Pilates Classes

Fundamental and Intermediate Floormat
Focuses on the core principles of Pilates with deliberate breathing and movement patterns to increase body awareness, correct muscle imbalance, increase core control of local abdominal muscles, mobility, posture, increase breathing capacity, lower stress levels, and have less incidence of back pain and injuries. Yin exercises involve standing, kneeling, sitting or lying on mats. A session that will help you stand taller and learn how to apply good postural technique when performing your daily work and activities.

Ball Pilates
A combination of fundamental and intermediate exercises to challenging stability, control and strength, enhance postural awareness and recruit global muscles of the core area using an unstable base. Yang exercises are performed with an exercise ball in standing, sitting, lying and kneeling positions and may include additional equipment such as therabands, medicine balls and dumbbells. A fun, creative and enjoyable class that offers challenge and variety.

Pilates for Sport
Each series of exercises, progressing over 6-8 weeks, will focus on a variety of sports. Designed to combine the postural, core stability and strength exercises of Pilates and additional athletic and resistance exercises to enhance athletic performance, prevent injury, and focus on body awareness and posture specific to each sport. If you really want to have more enjoyment with your sport and improve your overall performance then don’t miss the Pilates for Sport series.

Pilates and Personal Training
Pilates exercises will be incorporated into Personal Training sessions incorporating postural analysis, static, passive and dynamic postural screening to assist with individualising exercise programs to train for better static and dynamic posture, emphasize proper alignment of the kinetic chain, and focus on the importance of a strong core, functional mobility and attention to correct breathing. Great for everyone looking for training that will really hone in on your individual needs and goals, with exercises to improve daily living and also apply to recreational and sporting interests.

Yoga Classes

Our Yoga classes are in a non competitive environment where you are encouraged to be mindful and present ‘in the moment’. You will learn the importance of proper breathing and will be guided through a well rounded workout of stretch and strength work. An emphasis on safety, health conditions and injuries are taken into account. Class members are encouraged to exercise at their individual appropriate level.
